Biography

Julia Skop is the Smart Yachts Co-Founder, known for her strong business mindset. She is one of the most successful, experienced and popular yacht brokers in the industry, specializing in superyacht sales and superyacht charters.

She started her career in 2006 based on a distribution business model with serial GRP boats and organically grew into a superyacht broker. Julia founded Smart Yachts in 2012 & developed the company into an international brokerage house, which was mentioned in Top 20 Selling Brokers, by Boat International in 2021.

Julia has sold over 100 of yachts in a career that spans more than 15 years. As a broker not only, she specializes in new-builds, having visited over 40 different shipyards, but also focuses on larger vessels on the global brokerage market. With over 80% of her business being repeat and referred clients, Julia is respected for her attention to detail and incomparable market knowledge. In 2020 she was honored to become a member of the Yacht Club De Monaco.
